Who: Tony Drewry (IG @beerpedaler)

Erica and her husband Greg first met Tony when they took their family on a trip to Big Bend National Park (more on that in our next post!). They spent an entire day with him as their guide, learning about both the vastness of the park and Tony himself. Tony Drewry is one of those people who seem to dabble in a little bit of everything and strums the guitar to his own tune while doing it. He’s been on a few podcasts (Austin Sessions, Christopher Ryan and Funkytown to name a few), appeared in a ton of YouTube videos– ranging from hiking around Big Bend to singing at a tiny desk in a river and beer tastings. Oh, and he plays in a band called Shotgun Friday. We think he’s pretty rad and definitely has a #noteworthy story to tell.

Some of Tony’s greatest passions in life include his daughter, Sierra, his pup, Suzy, photography, making music and sharing his experiences through storytelling. So much so, that he decided to take all of them on the road with him this summer. His goal?

I am booking solo gigs to share some songs and stories from the desert and the borderland that I have been loving and living in.

When Erica and Greg saw the news on Instagram, they immediately reached out to Tony about booking a private gig. As he set up for the show, guests gathered around the pool with homemade pizza and craft beer in hand curious about his performance – we didn’t really tell anyone what the deal was, just that they had to show up! He even wrote a few songs about party guests on the fly
